Viktor Schafranskyj
Viktor Viktorovich Schafranskyj ( Ukrainian Віктор Вікторович Шафранський ; born September 12, 1968 in Narodychi , Zhytomyr Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian medic and politician. From April 27, 2016 to July 27, 2016 he was acting Minister for Health Protection of Ukraine in the Hroysman Cabinet .
Life
In 1991 Schafranskyj studied medicine at the State Medical Institute in Ternopil and in 1998 he defended his doctoral thesis in the field of surgery. In 2001 he studied management at the private Interregional Academy for Personnel Management . From 1991 to 1996 he worked as a surgeon in the Zhytomyr Oblast and then worked for pharmaceutical companies such as u. a. Pfizer . Between March 2012 and August 2014 he was Director of “ Novartis Pharmaservices AG” in Ukraine.
On April 27, 2016, he was appointed Ukrainian Minister of Health, succeeding Oleksandr Kwitashvili . He held this office until July 27, 2016. The doctor Uljana Suprun became his successor .
Viktor Schafranskyj is married and has one son.
