Viktor Vyacheslavovich Khrapunov
Viktor Vyacheslavovich Khrapunov (born November 24, 1948 in Predgornoje ) is a Kazakh politician .
From 1995 to 1997 Khrapunov was Kazakhstan's energy minister. After that he was mayor of the former capital Almaty until 2004 . During this time he and his wife made a fortune under unclear circumstances, which is why he is wanted for embezzlement of 250 million US dollars and has lived in exile in Geneva since 2007 . The proceedings are pending and are represented by, among others, the Swiss lawyer and National Councilor Christian Lüscher .
