Viktoria Shaimardanova
Viktorija Shaimardanova ( Ukrainian Вікторія Юріївна Шаімарданова ; born December 17, 1973 ) is a former Ukrainian weightlifter .
Career
Schaimardanowa reached at the European Championships 1997 in the class up to 76 kg in fifth place. In 1998 she was eighth at both the European Championships and the World Championships in the 75 kg class. At the 1999 European Championships she was sixth and ninth at the 1999 World Championships . In 2000 she reached fourth place at the European Championships . At the European Championships in 2001 she was able to win the bronze medal.
In 2002 Schaimardanowa was fifth at the European Championships and seventh at the World Championships . At the 2003 World Championships , she was eighth. In 2004 she won silver at the European Championships and finished fifth at the Olympic Games in Athens. At the European Championships in 2005 she was able to win the title. In the same year, however, she was banned until 2007 for a doping violation .
