Wil balances
Wil Salden (born June 14, 1950 in Obbicht , Limburg province ) is a Dutch jazz musician who is best known as the director of the Glenn Miller Orchestra .
Salden studied piano in Maastricht from 1967 to 1972 and founded his own band. At the same time he was active as a pianist in the radio orchestra of Radio Hilversum , which he later directed. Since 1985 he has led a self-founded orchestra, which is licensed by the administrators of Glenn Miller and is allowed to perform in Europe (excluding Great Britain) as the Glenn Miller Orchestra . The orchestra is on tour for up to 160 days a year, has recorded albums and given numerous concerts, especially in Germany. He also plays with the combo Moonlight Serenaders .
