Die Wilde Renate (formerly “Salon zur Wilden Renate”, colloquially just “Renate”) is a techno club in Berlin-Friedrichshain . It was founded in 2007 and is now operated by the "Zur wilden Renate - OHG" registered in 2012.

The "Wilde Renate" is located in an unrenovated former tenement near the Elsenbrücke and is characterized by its numerous rooms. The club opens in the night from Friday to Saturday as well as in the night from Saturday to Sunday around midnight. The end of the respective events is open and sometimes takes place in the afternoon of the following day. The program usually includes various techno and house DJs. Among them are often prominent names such as the Swedish house DJ Axel Boman, the British DJ B.Traits, the Offenbach club operator Ata, or the group "Crazy P", which has been known in Great Britain since the 1990s. The residents of Renate are u. a. Peak & Swift, Sebastian Voigt and Michal Zietara.

In addition to the regular weekend parties, other cultural events take place on the site. From 2010 to March 2014 there was a permanently installed labyrinth under the name Peristal Singum by the artist group Karmanoia , which in turn attracted wide media coverage. According to a report by the taz, it was closed due to an allegedly high “influx of visitors”.

The club is located on the area designated for section 17 of the further construction of the A 100 .

In March 2020 the club took part in the “ United We Stream ” campaign of the Berlin club scene, which suffered massive losses due to the measures taken against COVID-19 . In addition, a fundraising campaign was set up to maintain the club beyond the time of the COVID-19 pandemic .

The club has been the subject of national and international reporting for years. In an interview in 2013, model Eva Padberg described the "Wilde Renate" as one of her favorite clubs. Die Zeit described the club as "smaller, dirtier, more intimate" compared to Berghain . In the user ranking of the Internet portal for electronic music Resident Advisor , the club is rated as one of the eight most popular in Berlin (as of November 2019).
