Wilfried Behre
Wilfried Behre (* 1956 in Hanover ) is a freelance German sculptor.
Life
After completing an apprenticeship as a sound technician, Wilfried Behre attended grammar school and graduated from university. In 1992 he completed his studies in fine arts with the title of master class with Makoto Fujiwara at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences .
Works
- In 1989 W. Behre began his project " Global Stone Band" with seven red granite sculptures on the Leine River and Maschsee in Hanover .
- 1991 a marble sculpture for the Salzburg high throne (1853 m) and sculptures for the Toskanatrakt Salzburg in collaboration.
- 1991 Community work: memorial stones for the victims of the Gulf War and as a permanent reminder for a peaceful coexistence of all peoples. Opernplatz Hanover, public handover to Prime Minister Gerhard Schröder in March 1991 .
- 1992 Fountain system in the foyer of the blind association in Hanover, continuation of the “ Global Stone Band ” and work grant from the district government
- In 1994 Wilfried Behre went to the international summer academy in Salzburg as a professor.
- 1996/1997 solo exhibition at the Kunstverein Gehrden.
- 1998 Solo exhibition in the Marktkirche in Hanover
- 1998/2000 Eight granite sculptures for the new computer science building at the University of Hanover,
- 2000 Exhibition 99Standpunkte in Langenhagen with the work Meditation (1994)
- 2000/2001 Expo project “ City as Garden ”, twelve sculptures for the 118 m viewing hill Kronsberg Hannover
- 2001 India / Goa " Global Stone Band " seven granite sculptures with international participation
- 2003 Malaysia “ Global Stone Band ” seven granite sculptures directly on the China Sea
- 2005 two granite sculptures in Japan / Takehara
- 2006 Two fountain sculptures made from Hohenfels basalt lava
- 2007 “Global Stone Band” in Vietnam, Hai Phong, seven sculptures with green granite
- Further work on fountain sculpture, material: 14 t Norway granite
- 2008 marble sculpture in Lisbon and marble sculpture in Hue / Vietnam
- 2008: Utopia - Gardens of the Future, Winter Gardens IV in Güntherstrasse, Hanover
- Spring 2009 Prof. at the Academy of Art in China, fountain sculpture in China near Shanghai and the completion of a fountain sculpture at Atelierplatz in Hanover (photos on Behres website)
