Wilfried Beyhl
Wilfried Karl Beyhl (born May 27, 1945 in Lauenburg in Pomerania ) is a German Protestant theologian.
Career
Beyhl grew up in Marburg, Gunzenhausen and Augsburg. From 1965 to 1970 he studied Protestant theology in Neuendettelsau, Göttingen, Erlangen and Tübingen. In 1973 he was a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria ordained . Beyhl was pastor in Creidlitz from April 1, 1976 to December 31, 1985 . In 1986 he took over the office of youth pastor for Bavaria and was also chairman of the working group of Protestant youth in Germany.
From 1992 until his retirement in 2009 he was regional bishop for the Bayreuth church district and a member of the church leadership of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria.
