Wilfried Diebschlag

Wilfried Diebschlag (born March 27, 1938 , † February 19, 2004 in Klagenfurt ) was a professor at the Technical University of Munich .

Life

Diebschlag studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt and in 1960 became a member of the Darmstadt fraternity Frisia . After completing his intermediate diploma, he moved to the Technical University of Munich , where he completed his diploma. There followed in 1972 the doctorate to Dr.-Ing. and Dr. med. as well as the habilitation in applied physiology . At the same time, he completed specialist training as a doctor for occupational medicine . He was appointed adjunct professor in 1983 and worked at the chair for ergonomics at the Technical University of Munich .

Act

Diebschlag conducted research in the medical and technical fields of science and focused on economic feasibility . One focus was the humane design of work clothing. He carried out basic research into the human sweat secretion and the resulting requirements for heat and moisture transport through the individual layers of clothing. In addition, he was one of the pioneers who dealt with the sitting posture and the health challenges it poses for the design of seating furniture. His research results were also incorporated into general test standards for evaluating seating furniture under ergonomic aspects. Other main research areas were house dust and food allergies .
