Wilfried Hark

Wilfried Hark (born June 5, 1960 in Anklam ) is a German sports reporter.

Career

Hark studied journalism in Leipzig. He then worked in the sports department of the German TV broadcaster . In 1991 he came to Norddeutscher Rundfunk . He moderates the sports club on NDR television . As a reporter, he reports on athletics events and biathlon, among other things, and was deployed at the Winter Olympic Games , World and European Championships.

In 2012, he and six other sports journalists were nominated for the German Television Award for reporting on the Summer Olympics .

The German Language Association, which has been fighting bitterly against Anglicisms in German for years , awarded the reporter Hark the newly created Jammeeka Prize in 2012 . "From now on we will award reporters who most consistently avoid the German pronunciation of place, country and personal names at major sporting events".
