Wilfried Schneider (born November 20, 1952 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
The defender Wilfried Schneider began his career at Ahlener SV , with whom he played in the 1978/79 season in the then third-class Oberliga Westfalen . In the summer of 1979 Schäffer moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for SC Herford , which had just been promoted to this league. Schneider made his debut on August 3, 1979 in the 1-0 victory of Herford at SC Viktoria Köln . Two years later he and his team failed to qualify for the single-track 2nd Bundesliga. Schneider completed 42 second division games and remained without a goal.
