Wilhelm Bahlburg

Wilhelm Bahlburg (born October 27, 1888 in Jesteburg , † February 17, 1958 in Buchholz id N. ) was a German politician of the DP .

Life and work

Bahlburg completed an apprenticeship as a master builder and set up as a self-employed master craftsman in 1914. He later owned a sawmill, which is still a joinery in Jesteburg today.

In his hometown, Bahlburg was one of the founding members of the Jesteburg volunteer fire brigade in 1928. He was first elected deputy captain and on July 9, 1930, captain (today's designation: local fire chief ). He held this office until 1933.

The public prosecutor's office derived the allegation of credit fraud from the fact that on the one hand there were outstanding loans amounting to 130,000 DM at the Kreissparkasse Harburg, for the granting of which there were no conditions, and on the other hand Bahlburg had been the district administrator of this savings bank from 1946 to 1949 and opened an investigation against Bahlburg.

Political party

In 1945 Bahlburg took part in the founding of the Lower Saxony state party , which was renamed the German party in 1947. Because of the above investigation, he left the DP on September 6, 1951.

From 1925 to 1933 and again after 1945 Bahlburg belonged to the district council of the Harburg district .

Bahlburg was a member of the appointed Hanover State Parliament from August 23, 1946 to October 29, 1946. Member of the appointed Lower Saxony State Parliament from December 9, 1946 to March 28, 1947. Member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament for the 1st electoral period from April 20, 1947 to 26. October 1950.

From 1949 to 1953 he was a member of the German Bundestag for the constituency of Harburg - Soltau . Originally elected for the German party , he was a non-attached MP from September 7, 1951 , and was a guest of the DP parliamentary group from January 23, 1952. From September 4, 1952 he was non-attached again.
