Dietrich Bahner junior

Dietrich Bahner (born June 8, 1939 in Berlin ; † May 21, 2009 there ) was a German politician ( CDU , DA). From December 12, 1979 to March 29, 1983, he was a member of the German Bundestag for two electoral terms . In 1984 he left the CDU and tried unsuccessfully to establish the Democratic Alternative (DA) party .

Life

Bahner attended the secondary school in Augsburg, where he graduated from high school in 1959. The son of the industrialist and FDP politician of the same name, Dietrich Bahner senior , then trained in a shoe factory and a shoe trade and spent some time in France and England. After his return he studied economics and social sciences at the University of Berlin . After graduating, he worked as a managing director in the shoe industry. He was also on the boards of other companies.

Bahner had been a member of the CDU since 1971, and a year later he was chairman of the local association in Berlin-Wedding. In 1973 and 1974 he was deputy chairman of the Junge Union Berlin. He was both district chairman of the CDU in Berlin-Wedding and a member of the federal executive committee of the CDU's economic council. From 1975 to 1979 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives , where he resigned to replace Jürgen Wohlrabe in the Bundestag on September 12, 1979 . In the 1980 Bundestag elections , he was again sent to the Bundestag as a Berlin deputy . He was a member of the Petitions Committee and the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs. After leaving the Bundestag, Bahner resigned from the CDU and founded the Democratic Alternative for Environmental Protection, Taxpayers and Jobs , with which he ran unsuccessfully in Berlin in 1985.
