Wilhelm Baumann (politician)

Wilhelm Baumann (born December 22, 1925 in Schweinfurt ; † February 16, 2015 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Life

Baumann attended elementary and high school, but was then called up for military service and was an English prisoner of war. After the Second World War , he passed the examination for the higher service in the financial administration and became a qualified financial economist. He was chairman of the district committee of the Bavarian Association of Civil Servants and the staff council at the tax office in Schweinfurt . He was also a member of the board of directors of 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 .

At the CSU, Baumann was chairman of the Schweinfurt-Stadt district association and the Lower Franconia district sports council and was a member of the Lower Franconian district executive board. From 1972 to 1978 he was a member of the city council, from 1978 to 1990 in the Bavarian state parliament as a directly elected member of the constituency Schweinfurt-Nord .
