Wilhelm Brüggeboes

Wilhelm Brüggeboes (born January 27, 1919 in Hildesheim , † April 12, 1967 ) was a German theologian and author.

Life

Brüggeboes attended the Josephinum in Hildesheim until 1928, studied in Münster , ordained priest on January 28, 1934, chaplain in Hameln , 1938 state examination for grammar schools, religious teacher in Coesfeld , Bielefeld and Soest , military service and prisoner of war until 1948, Dr. theol. Wilhelm Brüggeboes, a Jesuit in Hildesheim, was part of the Antifa committee in the Walk camp. He was a Nazi opponent, but not a communist. He supported the “cultural activities” in the camp and also gave lectures on religious topics, e.g. B. over the "Altenberger Dom". He has helped many prisoners with his spiritual assistance. He was not very controversial in the camp, although not everyone trusted him. He became known in a special way for the recitations he gave in the barracks. Student councilor and senior student councilor in Soest and Paderborn 1965–1967 he was chairman of the Association for History and Art in the Diocese of Hildesheim , November 1, 1964, Cathedral Chapter in Paderborn.
