Wilhelm Carl Ludwig Supf

Wilhelm Carl Ludwig Supf (born May 28, 1803 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 15, 1882 there ) was a teacher and politician of the Free City of Frankfurt .

Born as the son of a Frankfurt citizen and trader, Supf studied Protestant theology and philology in Tübingen after attending the Frankfurt grammar school . During his studies in 1822 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . He was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD and was a teacher in Frankfurt am Main. On October 25, 1848, he was elected to the Constituent Assembly of the Free City of Frankfurt . From 1861 to 1862 he was a member of the Legislative Body . In 1862 he was elected as a senator to the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt , to which he belonged until the end of the Free City in 1866.
