Wilhelm Dörge

Wilhelm Dörge (born July 4, 1922 in Einbeck ; † May 5, 2017 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

After attending elementary school and secondary school in Einbeck, Dörge completed his school education with the Abitur in 1940. He was then drafted directly into the labor service and initially began studying economics and law at the University of Göttingen. He did an internship in an industrial company in Hanover and was then called up for military service in World War II until the end of the war. After the war he was taken prisoner. After he returned from captivity, he did an apprenticeship in his father's painting business and passed the journeyman's examination to become a painter. In 1951 he passed the master's examination. From 1950 to 1992 he continued his father's painting business, from 1985 together with his son Joachim.

Dörge became a member of the CDU in 1960.

Wilhelm Dörge was a member of Einbeck's city council as early as 1961. From 1961 to 1964, from 1968 to 1972 and from 1981 to 1991 he was honorary mayor of the city. Between 1964 and 1974 he was a member of the district council of the district of Einbeck . Immediately afterwards he became a member of the district council of the Northeim district .

Wilhelm Dörge was a member of the board of directors of the Kreis and Stadtsparkasse Einbeck . Later he was also a member of the supervisory boards of the non-profit housing association Einbecker and Ilmebahn AG. He also worked as an honorary administrative judge.

From 1970 to 1982 (7th to 9th electoral term) Wilhelm Dörge was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He was elected via the CDU state list and was particularly active in the Committee on Economics and Transport.
