Wilhelm Dürks

Wilhelm Dürks (* 27. February 1890 in Ganderkesee , Grand Duchy of Oldenburg ; † 9. March 1966 in Hennigsdorf in the district Oranienburg , GDR ) was a German teacher , Dr. phil. and local history explorer .

In 1909 Dürks passed his matriculation examination in Jever at the Mariengymnasium . He then studied Latin, Greek and religion in Leipzig, Marburg and Göttingen until 1913. In 1913 he passed his first teaching examination in Göttingen. From 1914 to 1916 he served in the First World War. From 1916 to 1918 he worked as a scientific assistant teacher at the Reformrealgymnasium Rüstringen . Dürks wrote his dissertation Documentary History of the Hennigsdorf rural community in Kiel in 1917. From 1918 he taught at the Reformrealgymnasium Rüstingen as a teacher until 1920. In 1920 Dürks moved to the Reformrealgymnasium Oldenburg and from 1926 to the Reformrealgymnasium Hennigsdorf.
