Wilhelm Engelbreit

Wilhelm Engelbreit (born March 9, 1924 in Frankenthal (Palatinate) ; † July 6, 1986 there ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Engelbreit attended elementary school and high school. From 1942 to 1945 he did military service (most recently as a reserve lieutenant and radio supervisor in a division staff) and was then taken prisoner by the Americans. In 1951 he passed the examination for the higher judicial service (Rechtspflegerprüfung) and became a judicial officer and executive officer at the Frankenthal district court . From 1969 to 1986 he was a civil servant in the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate, most recently as Ministerialrat .

politics

In 1947 Engelbreit joined the CDU and was honorary district manager of the CDU Frankenthal from 1948 to 1966. From 1965 he was chairman of the CDU district association Frankenthal-Stadt and a member of the district committee of the Palatinate and the state committee of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate.

Since 1963 he was a member of the Palatinate District Assembly . In 1967 he was elected to the sixth state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged for one term until 1970. In the state parliament he was a member of the legal committee and the committee for administrative reform. He was also an honorary member of the Association of Returnees, Prisoners of War and Members of Missing Persons in Germany. V. active and district chairman of the dbb (civil service and tariff union) in Frankenthal.
