Wilhelm Eske

Wilhelm Eske (born February 28, 1883 in Dinslaken ; † April 17, 1968 there ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, he worked at the German trade union Kaiser , a coal - mine in Duisburg-Hamborn , a foreman employed. From 1922 to 1933 he was an alderman in the city ​​of Dinslaken. Eske was arrested in 1933, imprisoned until 1934 and then expelled from the Dinslaken district. He moved to Cologne and returned to Dinslaken in 1948.

He was married and had one child.

He was a member of the district council of the former district of Dinslaken from 1948 to 1961. In the city council of the city of Dinslaken Eske was represented from 1951 to 1961.

From November 4, 1948 to November 30, 1949 and from November 20, 1958 to April 6, 1961, he was District Administrator of the Dinslaken district.

Eske was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

On February 28, 1958 Eske was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and on July 23, 1961 the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class.
