Wilhelm Großkurth

Georg Friedrich Wilhelm Großcurth (also Großcurth ; born April 26, 1808 in Meineringhausen , † August 4, 1875 in Arolsen ) was a German pastor and member of the state parliament.

Life

Wilhelm Großkurth was the son of the landlord and farmer Christoph Friedrich Großcurth and his wife Johanne Friederike nee Tewes. The landlord and politician Ferdinand Großkurth (1802–1877) was his older brother. He himself married Eleonore von Stockhausen on August 15, 1837 in Arolsen.

Wilhelm Großkurth became rector of the higher private school in Arolsen and later director of the community school there. After the March Revolution he was from 1848 to 1849 for the III. urban constituency member of the Landtag of the Principality of Waldeck (until June 26, 1848) and then of the Landtag of the Principality of Waldeck and Pyrmont and from 1848 to 1849 President of the Landtag. From 1868 to 1873 he worked as a pastor in Landau .
