His work War Cliffs was created in 1918 and he founded Das Trio dunkle Augen in Schwelm , from which the theater and humorist association Fidelitas later developed. Furthermore, today was a member of the German National Party in the Schwelm city parliament and honorary member of the Johannisloge Zum Westfälischen Löwen .
