Wilhelm Koenenkamp
Friedrich Heinrich Wilhelm Koenenkamp (born August 5, 1859 Bruchhausen-Vilsen , † October 20, 1941 in Bremen ) was a German silk merchant and Bremen politician.
biography
Koenenkamp received his training as a woven goods dealer from his father . In 1885 he set up his own company in Bremen and specialized in the silk trade . The company developed into the most important in Europe in this field. From 1910 to 1918 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship . He was active in various deputations in Bremen . The Villa Koenenkamp in Horn-Lehe , Marcusallee 38, was built in 1915 according to plans by August Abbehusen and Otto Blendermann .
The company Barth & Könenkamp Seiden GmbH still exists (2013) in Bremen- Schwachhausen .
Honors
- The Koenen Kampstraße in Bremen-Schwachhausen was named in 1959 after him.
