Wilhelm Lesemann

Wilhelm Lesemann (born January 20, 1727 in Harburg , † August 23, 1787 in Hanover ) was a German Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the general dioceses of Hoya-Diepholz and Calenberg .

Life

Lesemann was the son of a tax collector. He studied theology and in 1754 became second pastor at the Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche St. Johannis , 1759 pastor at the Kreuzkirche , 1770 second pastor at the castle church, 1781 first pastor there.

From 1775 to 1781 he was general superintendent of the general diocese of Hoya-Diepholz, from 1781 to 1787 general superintendent of the general diocese of Calenberg and thus also a member of the consistory in Hanover.
