Wilhelm Ludwig Alers

Wilhelm Ludwig Alers (born December 22, 1802 in Uetersen ; † March 19, 1869 there ) was a German lawyer and poet .

He was the grandson of the philosopher and preacher Christian Wilhelm Alers (1737-1806) and from 1822 studied law at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . In 1824 and 1825 he took his exams in Glückstadt and from 1826 was assistant court attorney at the district court in Ahrensbök . In 1829 Alers moved to Neumünster and in 1832 established himself as a lawyer in Kiel . He later moved back to his hometown and was a junior lawyer at the Uetersen District Court .

Alers wrote numerous poems that deal with the love of the country and human destinies. He also wrote a speech in iambics for the deaf and dumb institute in Schleswig. (1823)
