Wilhelm Niermann

Wilhelm Niermann (born March 22, 1896 in Schröttinghausen , † July 30, 1954 in Lübbecke ) was a German politician (CNBL, CDU).

After attending the Rector's School in Lübbecke (up to Obertertia) and grammar school (up to Obersekunda), Niermann volunteered on January 2, 1915, to participate in the First World War with the Hunter-on-Horse Regiment No. 12 . From the end of 1915 until the end of the war in 1918, he fought as a deputy sergeant and officer aspirant with Hussar Regiment No. 8 on the Western Front .

After the war, Niermann took over his father's farm in Schröttinghausen. In the 1920s he began to get involved in the Christian National Peasants and Rural People's Party (CNBL). In 1926 he became community leader in his homeland, in 1928 chairman of the CNBL in the constituency of North Westphalia; In 1929 he became a member of the district committee and chairman of the district association of Lübbecke. From September 1930 to July 1932, Niermann was a member of the Reichstag on his party's proposal for a Reich election .

After 1945 Niermann took part in the founding of the CDU in the Lübbecke district .
