Wilhelm Ott (theologian)

Wilhelm Ott (born January 3, 1938 in Gerolzhofen ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and computer philologist.

Life

From 1949 to 1957 he attended the Riemenschneider-Gymnasium and from 1957 to 1966 he studied philosophy , theology and classical philology in Rome , Würzburg , Tübingen and Munich . After graduating as Dr. theol. at the University of Würzburg in 1965 he was a research assistant for computer applications in the humanities in the computer center of the University of Tübingen from 1966 to 2003 (see the minutes of the colloquia he supervised from 1973 to 2005 [1] on this subject).
