Wilhelm Peter Binding

Wilhelm Peter Binding (born May 14, 1772 in Frankfurt am Main ; † 1834 ibid) was a politician of the Free City of Frankfurt .

Binding was a son of Johann Peter Binding (1735–1804) and his wife Sibylla Catharina Becker (1746–1782). The father had come to Frankfurt as a master baker from Reichelsheim and had acquired citizenship there through marriage. The mother was the daughter of a respected Frankfurt baker family. The parents had 13 children, 8 of whom died in childhood. The brother of Wilhelm Peter Binding was Johann Lorenz Binding (1776-1856), the grandfather of the beer entrepreneur Conrad Binding (1846-1933) (see Binding Brewery ). Wilhelm Peter Binding married Christine Dorothea Krieg (1774–1849) in 1794. The couple had 10 children. Their son Georg Christoph Binding (1807-1877) became a member of the appellate court and member of parliament in Frankfurt.

Wilhelm Peter Binding was a master baker in Frankfurt am Main. From 1805 to 1834 he was a member of the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt as a councilor .
