Wilhelm Spethmann
Wilhelm Spethmann (born December 20, 1861 in Reinfeld , † November 2, 1926 in Eckernförde ) was a printing company owner and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
From 1867 to 1877 Spethmann attended the elementary school in his place of birth, which was directed by the well-known Low German poet Joachim Mähl . 1881–84 he served with the 2nd Guards Regiment on foot in Berlin . He learned the art of printing and started his own business in Eckernförde in 1887. He also founded the Eckernförder Nachrichten and edited it. In 1902 he was elected to the city council and in 1903 to the city council.
From February to June 1903 and from 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Schleswig-Holstein 3 ( Schleswig , Eckernförde ) and the Free People's Party .
