Wilhelm Weinmeier

Wilhelm Weinmeier (born July 1, 1955 in Kirchberg an der Pielach ) is an Austrian electrical engineer and former politician ( FPÖ ). Weinmeier was a member of the National Council from 1999 to 2002 .

education and profession

Weinmeier attended elementary and secondary school from 1961 to 1969 and then went to the Higher Technical College in Sankt Pölten , electrical engineering department, where he passed the Matura in 1974 and later earned the title of engineer. Between 1974 and 1975 Weinmeier did military service.

Weinmeier worked from 1975 to 1992 as a technical employee at Schubert Elektroanlagen GmbH in Ober-Grafendorf and became self-employed in 1992 as an electrical engineer with a technical office.

politics

From 1988 to 1996 Weinmeier was a member of the regional party executive of the FPÖ Lower Austria and from 1988 to 1994 a member of the federal party leadership. In addition, he was re-elected to the state party executive in 1998 and between 1990 and 1992 held the function of the state party chairman's deputy. From 1995 Weinmeier was also a member of the specialist group committee of the Lower Austria Chamber of Commerce . Weinmeier is a member of the regional board of the RFW Lower Austria.

Wilhelm Weinmeier joined the FPÖ in 1979 and was a local councilor in Kirchberg an der Pielach from 1980 and 1990 and a managing member of the local council from 1990. In 2005 Weinmeier ran for the "Free List" and was the only candidate on the list to join the local council. Weinmeier represented the FPÖ from 1988 to 1993 in the Lower Austrian state parliament , and from October 29, 1999 to December 19, 2002 he was a member of the National Council. In the National Council election in 2002 , Weinmeier ran as the top candidate in the constituency 3D (Lower Austria center), but failed to return to the National Council due to the heavy losses suffered by the FPÖ.

Weinmeier is married.

Awards

Weinmeier is the bearer of the gold ring of honor of the market town of Kirchberg an der Pielach.
