Wilhelm Weitbrecht

Wilhelm Weitbrecht (born April 2, 1860 in Esslingen am Neckar , † December 11, 1931 in Stuttgart ) was a German geodesist and university lecturer at the Württemberg technical college for surveying in Stuttgart.

Live and act

After his state examination for surveyors in Wuerttemberg in 1880, Weitbrecht started as an assistant for geodetic exercises in the geometer technical school of the Stuttgart building trade school . At the same time he studied geodesy at the Technical University of Stuttgart . Subsequently, he was initially appointed lecturer at the Geometerschule and finally in 1893 appointed professor and main teacher for practical geometry there.
