Johann Wilhelm von Anns

Johann Wilhelm Anns , from 1824 by Anns , (born April 16, 1766 in Neuenstein , Württemberg ; † March 28, 1842 in Regensburg ) was a German businessman and politician.

Life

Anns came to Regensburg in 1793, where he established himself as a wholesaler. In 1818 he was elected second mayor of the city and in 1819 was a founding member of the Chamber of Deputies , of which he belonged until his death. He is considered to be the spiritual father of the founding of the Sparkasse Regensburg in 1823.

In recognition of his services, Anns was raised to the nobility in 1824. In the same year he was appointed Knight of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown .
