Wilhelm von Schencking

Wilhelm von Schencking (also von Schenckinck or von Schencking zu Bevern, * 1555 in Ostbevern , † August 3, 1585 in Osnabrück ) came from the Münster hereditary family Schencking and was the son of Heinrich von Schencking zu Bevern and his wife Elisabeth Frese. He was elected bishop of Osnabrück from July 20 ( July ) / July 30 ( greg. ) To July 24 (July) / August 3, 1585 (greg.). He died before the papal confirmation was obtained. Before being elected bishop on July 30, 1585, he was cathedral dean in Osnabrück . In 1563 he received a cathedral praise from Münster .
