Will Workman (* 1979 in Frankfurt am Main ) is an American-British theater actor.

Life

Workman is the son of an American opera singer and a British ballet dancer. He was born in Frankfurt, grew up in Hamburg and attended a Waldorf school , where he gained his first acting experience, for example in Arthur Miller's witch hunt . He received piano and violin lessons at an early age. During his school days he was also a line gymnast and took part in German championships.

Workman studied at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater and graduated in 2002 with an acting diploma. He appeared in Hamburg at the Thalia Theater , the Deutsches Schauspielhaus , the Ernst Deutsch Theater , the Lüneburg Theater and the Jagsthausen Festival . In the film Make My Day (2004) by Henrike Goetz he took on the role of Chad. He had another role in the short film Adam & Aisha (2004). He also appeared in the television series Bella Block (2003), in the short film Adam & Aisha (2004) and in the television film Stormy Times (2008).

In 2007 he went to the Lübeck Theater , of which he has been a member since then. His first role there was that of bon vivant Christian Buddenbrook based on the novel by Thomas Mann . He played the "Puck" in A Midsummer Night's Dream and the "Lopachin" in Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard . In the 2012/2013 season he was among other things the "Rocky" in The Rocky Horror Show .

His solo role as Jürgen Bartsch in Bartsch, Child Murderer by Oliver Reese (director: Katrin Lindner) was discussed as an "acting masterpiece".
