Willi Beuster (born August 13, 1908 in Dortmund ; † July 9, 1981 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After completing primary school, Beuster completed a commercial training and then worked as a commercial clerk. In addition, he attended courses at the adult education center and continued his education in economic and political courses. Since 1926 he worked as an organization employee.

Beuster worked from 1946 to 1950 as sole authorized signatory and managing director in the construction industry. From 1950 to 1966 he was a department head at the Westfälische Rundschau . He was also a member of the supervisory board of Dortmunder Stadtwerke AG .

Political party

Beuster joined the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ) in 1923 and had been a member of the SPD since 1925. From 1926 to 1933 he was chairman of the SAJ in Dortmund. He was the party's district leader from 1951 to 1955 and was elected chairman of the SPD city association of Greater Dortmund in 1955. Since April 1964 he was deputy sub-district chairman of the SPD Dortmund - Castrop-Rauxel - Lünen .

Beuster was elected to the Dortmund City Council in 1956, 1961 and 1964 via the SPD reserve list, but never accepted his mandates. In the 1961 Bundestag election , he was elected to the German Bundestag via a direct mandate in the constituency of Dortmund II , to which he belonged for two terms until 1969.
