Willi Girmes (born January 11, 1956 in Kevelaer ) is a German singer and entertainer.

General

Girmes lives with his family in Asperden , a district of Goch on the Lower Rhine . He celebrates great success in the party scene in Mallorca .

biography

Girmes founded his first band in 1980, the Piger Tigerband . With them he achieved regional successes on the Lower Rhine. He kicked u. a. with Pur , Klaus Lage and Brings . Since 1990 Girmes has also appeared as an entertainer and moderator . His distinguishing feature during the performances are the leopard skin coat.

In addition to party songs, Girmes also wrote ballads and chansons that deal with his homeland and life in the country. He appeared on WDR television with his Christmas carol (Let the Angels Sing) . In 2011 he published the titles Bei uns am Niederrhein and Niederrheiner they are finer . In 2016 the Goch anthem was added.

The song Men, Wake Up Party brought him to first place in the original sound charts of the radio station 1 Live at the end of 2004 . In the 2004 annual charts, he came in second place. For the 2006 World Cup , he wrote the soccer anthem Jürgen hol 'den Pott , for which a video was made. In 2007 Girmes produced the songs Fiesta Mexicana , I want a child from you (currently number 4 in the Mallorca Top 50) and Come with me in Wonderland .

For many years Willi Girmes has performed regularly in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

In 2010 Girmes had its greatest success to date with the pirate dance across Germany.

In the following years Willi Girmes wrote more party hits and produced them in Cologne with the successful duo of Xtreme Sound / Mike Rötgens and Hartmut Wesseling.

Since 2018 he has also been working with the composer Tom Marquardt. The titles "In rose red on sky blue" and "I'll never let you go" come from his pen.
