Willi Konrad (football official)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Willi Konrad (* probably in 1940 in Offenbach am Main , † 17th January 2005 in a hospital in Offenbach am Main) was a German football - functionary , who in the 1970s at Kickers Offenbach and in the 1990s at Dynamo Dresden or as CEO Technical director was active.

Life

Konrad, who grew up as an orphan , found something like a substitute family in the house of Horst-Gregorio Canellas , a former president of Kickers Offenbach, and was one of the latter's key witnesses in the Bundesliga scandal of 1971. For Kickers Offenbach, he succeeded in signing one of his more well-known competitors hunted striker Erwin Kostedde .

Konrad later built up a well-known player agency and in 1993 followed the call of his friend Rolf-Jürgen Otto to Dynamo Dresden , where both were involved in dubious business and allegedly embezzled six-figure amounts from player transfers. In this context, a television clip was also made known in which Konrad responded insultingly to inquiries from a journalist.
