Willi Krause (politician)
Willi Krause (born July 2, 1903 in Königsberg (Prussia) , † December 4, 1987 in Berlin ) was an SPD politician and union official .
Life
After elementary school and apprenticeship as a carpenter , Krause settled in Berlin in 1928 and worked as a carpenter foreman . He was involved in the trade union and the SPD until 1933. The time of the Nazi dictatorship to Krause in " Inner emigration " have survived. In West Berlin he became involved again in the SPD and the IG Bau-Steine-Erden trade union , which he took over as head of the Berlin regional association. In 1949 he became a member of the UGO executive board. For the SPD, he sat from 1950 to 1971 in the Wilmersdorf District Assembly .
Honors
On July 2, 1973, Krause was named the 163rd city elder of Berlin .
Willi Krause's grave in the Wilmersdorf cemetery is listed as an honorary grave for the State of Berlin.
