Willi Tilger

Willi Tilger (born January 19, 1922 - February 16, 2008 ) was a German civil servant and local politician.

Career

Tilger was initially a Federal Railroad Inspector, later Ministerialrat in the Ministry of Culture of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.

In 1953 he joined the CDU . Three years later he was elected to the city council of Ludwigshafen am Rhein , of which he was a member until 1969. His political activity shifted from 1969 to the Christian Democratic Workforce (CDA). In 1982 he was a founding member of the Seniors' Union Ludwigshafen and a founding member of the Seniors' Council of the City of Ludwigshafen and a member of the Seniors' Council of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.

From 1971 to 1990 Tilger was state chairman of the German Association of Civil Servants (DBB) in Rhineland-Palatinate. When he left office, he became its honorary chairman. From 1993 to 1999 he was district chairman and from 1993 to 2001 deputy state chairman of the Federation of Retired Officials, Pensioners and Survivors (BRH) and was also appointed honorary chairman in 2001. In addition, he was a member of the broadcasting council of the Südwestfunk for many years .
