Willi Vallendar

Willi Vallendar (born July 30, 1943 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer who was a judge at the Federal Administrative Court until July 2008 . Most recently he was the deputy chairman of an appeal panel of the Federal Administrative Court.

Life

Willi Vallendar studied at the University of Cologne Law and graduated in 1967 with the First Legal State Examination from. In 1971 the second state examination followed. He then began his career as a judge at the Cologne Administrative Court as a probationary judge and was appointed judge for life and judge at the Cologne Administrative Court in 1974. In 1978 he was seconded to the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Bonn as a research assistant . After working there for a year, he was seconded to the Higher Administrative Court for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , where he was appointed judge at the Higher Administrative Court in June 1979 .

In October 1993 Willi Valendar was appointed judge at the Federal Administrative Court. At first he was a member of the 3rd Revision Senate, which dealt with, among other things, the law of equalization of burdens, the law of occupation damage, the legal area of ​​monetary equalization and health administration law. In January 1995 he moved to the 11th Revision Senate, which had to deal with land consolidation law , nuclear law , road and right of way , the law of building waterways and the law on development and development contributions. At the beginning of 2001 the 11th Senate was dissolved and Vallendar switched to the 9th Revision Senate, which took over the duties of the former 11th Senate. From July 2004 to June 2007 he was also a member of the 10th Revision Senate and was appointed Deputy Chairman of both Senates in October 2004. In June 2007 the 9th and 10th Senate of the Federal Administrative Court were merged. At the end of July 2008, he retired. He was assigned by nature conservation associations to the more moderate wing of the 9th Revision Senate in environmental law issues.

In addition to having a significant influence on the highest court rulings of the Federal Administrative Court, he also had an influence on legal developments as a co-editor and author of comments on the Federal Immission Control Act , the General Railway Act and the law on staff representation .
