Willi Winter

Willi Winter (born March 11, 1953 in Oberndorf am Neckar ) is a German cabaret artist and puppeteer .

Life

He completed a degree at the University of Education in Freiburg, majoring in music and German . In 1981 he passed the 2nd state examination for teaching at primary and secondary schools and studied folklore, German and musicology at the University of Freiburg .

From 1980 to 1983 he was in the Schmeißfliege cabaret a . a. worked with Matthias Deutschmann and Joschi Krüger, then from 1984 to 1987 in the cabaret Din a Dry with Volkmar Staub and Klaus Meier. Various solo programs followed. In 1991/1992 he was a member of the Showbiß cabaret and from 1992 to 1996 of the Dammers & Winter cabaret .

In 1996 he and his wife Maren Winter moved to the Finnish archipelago of Åland . Together they founded the winter puppet theater and gave guest performances in Scandinavia and Germany. The couple has lived in Germany again since 2000 and travels as a touring theater throughout the German-speaking region. In 2003 the Dammers & Winter cabaret was revived. As an actor, he worked in the 2007 NDR television documentary "The true treasure of Störtebeker " (written and directed by Arne Lorenz ).
