William Andrews (* 25. December 1955 in Thomasville , Georgia ) is a former American American football poker players in the position of running backs . Between 1979 and 1986 he played for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).

Andrews attended Auburn University .

NFL

Andrews was selected 79th in the third round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons . In his first year for the Falcons, he scored 1,023 yards , 3 run and 2 caught touchdowns in 239 attempts . A year later, he scored 1,308 yards on 265 attempts. After the season he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time . He succeeded in doing this over the next three years. He was forced to take a two-year break after suffering a knee injury in 1984. After the 1986 season , which was disappointing for his standards, he retired from active football.

Andrews was arrested and detained on September 19, 2004 and March 30, 2012 after failing to pay child support. Andrews has a total of six children.
