William Bradford (cinematographer)
William Bradford (born September 8, 1905 in Barre , Vermont , † May 18, 1959 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American cameraman who was nominated for an Oscar for best special effects at the 1941 Academy Awards .
Life
Bradford began his career in the film industry Hollywood's camera assistant and cameraman in 1935 for the films The Phantom Empire and Tumbling Tumbleweeds and worked as a cameraman until his death in the production of almost 120 films and episodes of television series.
For his work for the photographic special effects in the film Women in War (1940), he was nominated for the Oscar for best special effects at the 1941 Academy Awards, along with Howard Lydecker , Bud Thackery and Herbert Norsch .
