William Conklin (born December 25, 1872 in Brooklyn , † March 21, 1935 in Hollywood ) was an American actor of the silent film era .

Life

Conklin was a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute of New York University . He played as a stage actor for about twenty years before switching to film in 1913. Conklin starred in 85 silent films. He was married to actress Lucy Blake . He didn't make the transition to talkies. Conklin died of a stroke .
