William Edward Power

William Edward Power (born September 27, 1915 in Montreal , † November 29, 2003 ) was Bishop of Antigonish .

Life

William Edward Power was ordained a priest on June 7, 1941 .

Pope John XXIII appointed him Bishop of Antigonish on May 12, 1960 . The Archbishop of Montréal , Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger PSS , consecrated him on July 20 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Gerald Berry , Archbishop of Halifax , and Malcolm Angus MacEachern , Bishop of Charlottetown .

He was inducted into office on August 10, 1960. He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council . He resigned from his office on December 12, 1986.
