William Herring

William Hering (born August 19, 1812 in Rochlitz , † 1897 in Cölln , Amtshauptmannschaft Meißen) was a German Protestant pastor and politician.

Life

The son of the pastor and later superintendent Carl Wilhelm Hering (1790–1871) attended the Princely School in Grimma from 1825 . After he had completed this schooling on March 31, 1830, he studied Protestant theology. In 1839 he was appointed pastor in Strauch , then in 1843 in the Ore Mountains Sehma . In 1849/50 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament as a representative of the 54th electoral district . In 1856 he was transferred to the rectory in Strießen near Priestewitz , where he retired in 1878 .
