William Píriz (also known as Willy Píriz ) (* 1933 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Offensive player Píriz played at club level at least in 1953, 1954, 1957, 1959 and 1960 for the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Defensor . In 1957 he was part of the winning team in the Torneo Cuadrangular . In 1960 he won the Campeonato Nacional General Artigas with the Montevideans . The son of Juan Emilio Píriz played a total of 225 games for the club and scored 64 goals.

National team

Píriz was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . With this he took part in the South American Championship in December 1959 , when Uruguay won the continental championship. His only international match was at that tournament when he came on for Domingo Pérez on December 12, 1959 in the 3-0 win against Brazil . He did not score an international goal.
