William Alston

William Payne Alston (born November 29, 1921 in Shreveport , Louisiana , † September 13, 2009 ) was an American philosopher. He was a professor at Syracuse University and has published fundamental articles on the philosophy of language, epistemology, and Christian philosophy. In 1990 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
