William Wegman
William Wegman (* 1943 in Holyoke , Massachusetts ) is an American photographer who works with Weimarans (dogs) and photographs them as models and portrays them in a surrealistic way. Man Ray and Fay were his most famous dogs and he won awards with them. Among other things, he worked for Sesame Street. He has developed Alphabet Soup , Mother Goose and many other films and series for the public and the dogs always play the leading role. Polaroids and my life with Fay are well-known books.
William Wegman took part in Documenta 5 in Kassel in 1972 and was also represented as an artist at Documenta 6 in 1977.
