The Williams River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Western Australia . It is one of the headwaters of the Murray River .

The river has its source near Dumberning between Williams and Narrogin . It flows westward to its confluence with the Hotham River, near Mount Saddleback . The rivers unite to form the Murray River.
