Willie Arthur Royster (* 11. April 1954 in Clarksville , Virginia ; † 23. November 2015 in Ocean View , New Jersey ) was an American baseball player , eleven years in the Minor League Baseball (milb) on the position of the catcher played . In 1981 he played a month for the Baltimore Orioles in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Royster was elected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 22nd round of the 1972 MLB Draft . He played in various Orioles farm teams from 1972 to 1976 and from 1978 to September 1981 . On September 3, 1981, he made his debut against Oakland Athletics in the MLB. The Orioles lost the game with 0:10. On October 2 of the same year, Royster made his last game in the MLB against the New York Yankees . The Orioles also lost this game with 0: 9. In total, Royster only made four games in the MLB and had a batting average of .000 with two strikeouts and two groundouts . In 1982 he returned to the MiLB and ended his professional baseball career there in 1983.

Royster was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in New Jersey. He died on November 23, 2015 at the age of 61, leaving behind his wife, three children and two grandchildren.
